Top 'to do's' during the summer!

Hello bloggers! What a beautiful day it is today?! As it is so lovely, I decided to sit outside in a deckchair, feet up, hair up, sunnies on and summarise a list of the top things I like 'to do' throughout the summer.

Before I do though, I'm posting this link so that I can officially be linked to the blogging world: http://www.bloglovin.com/blog/9871869/?claim=n76bkuee5e4 -  follow my blog with Bloglovin!

So, with finishing sixth form at the end of June, I have almost two and a half months of holiday antics to get up to, before the hard work begins again in September, when I hope to be going to University. Every year, I'm pretty sure I tend to do a similar list; jotting down all the summer activities that I wish to get up to (Okay.. that does sound a little sad..) but y'know - if you have ideas written down, you will never be stuck on ideas for what to do with your day if you are ever feeling even the slightest bit bored. So, without further ado.. I shall get cracking with my list of summer 'to do's':

1) Beach (always a summer favourite!) Whether it's for a full day or just a casual stroll daytime or evening, it's bound to make you get that summer time feeling. It makes the day even better if it's hot; like it was here last  Sunday at Cromer!

2) Sports If you know me well, you probably know that I don't really do as much exercise as I should do.. However, summer time is usually the time when I all of a sudden burst into a ball of energy and feel motivated to get active! (I think it tends to largely be due to the weather..) Anyhow, doing sport in the summer means that not only are you getting active, but also you get to socialise with your friends/family and have a good ol' laugh! These are some of the sports I love: Swimming, rounders, football, netball and tennis. To be honest, I'm not great at all of those, but as long as you are having fun, that is all that matters :)

3) Bike Ride This kind of goes a little bit hand in hand with the 'sports' idea, but I felt this needed a little more explanation as I love bike rides sooo much! Every summer, whether it be once, twice or more - I always make sure me and my friends organise a day where we pack up a picnic and find a walkway or even just a place in Norfolk (livin' like a count'ry farmer ;)) and ride till we reach our destination. Now, as lovely as this sounds, it isn't all a hop, skip and a jump.. If you do this for this first time - take it easy, as it will be tiresome! You usually find that it's best to take little breaks on the way and the journey to and fro are usually what makes the trip memorable!

Not a very good picture, but one of my bike rides from a few years back with my friend Abbie! :)

4) Baking days For days that are not so summery (which is usually most of the time in the UK..) why not get a few friends round and cook up a few delicious treats for you to tuck into on a miserable day? Me and my  friends have done this on many occasions and even thought the treats have not always been the best, it's the having a go at something new which makes it enjoyable! Once you have made them you could even put on a movie or if you are up for a good ol' game of charades or the 'yes or no' headband game (if you haven't played this game - try it, it is ace!)

5) Theme Parks obviously Theme Parks depend on money/travel expenses etc, so I only ever tend to do this once a year.. Also Theme Parks may not be to everyone's fancy - some people are thrill seekers, whilst others prefer to stay grounded, rather than being chucked around in the air.. In Norfolk, the main Theme Park to go to is Pleasure Wood Hills and being only 30-mins drive from Norwich City Centre, it is perfectly accessible by car or bus. Although it isn't as big and daring as some of the most popular theme parks such as Alton Towers or Thorpe Park, every time I go I have an awesome day out and some of my best memories were formed there! If you want to check out their website here is the linkhttp://pleasurewoodhills.com/ bit of advertisement there ;)

6) Nights out With turning 18 this year, yes.. I do mean nights out clubbing - however, if you are a party hard student like myself, you will realise these nights do not come cheap and therefore you have to limit yourself to the amount you spend each night and only go out every so often. Although this may suck, in the long run - you will appreciate and enjoy the night better if you haven't been out in a while. Also, (sorry younger bloggers!) the great thing about being over 17, is that lots of friend can now drive and every now and again we can just go for a drive out to the beach, a park or somewhere just to chill, talk and grab a bite to eat! During summer time there always seems to be celebrations going off somewhere; so go grab the chance whilst you've got it and go view some fireworks. Fireworks just make everything seem special and that is definitely a top to do.

Lord Mayors Procession Fireworks!

7) Park Days Out of all of my favourite things to do, this has got to be one of my favourites! It's cheap, simple and probably the outings that I have the most are to the local parks! Just send a text or call your friends and it's more than likely that one of your friends will be free just to chill and enjoy the scenery. In past years me and my friends have even had water fights with water balloons when it has been really hot and it is the perfect way to cool off after being in the sun most of the day.

8) Camping, Concerts or Festivals In recent years I have become a sucker for wanting to go to festivals, however, the horror of the prices usually is what puts me off.. but, last year I took a gamble and went to Sundown festival (which is a hell of a lot cheaper and had some AMAZING acts) so this year I am going back; this time for two days, to see the likes of Jessie J, Rita Ora, DJ Fresh, JLS, Naughty Boy, Amelia Lily, Union J and the list goes on. They are such a great atmosphere and I would love to go to Glasto or Latitiude next year! Also, on the lines of festivals is that of camping.. Again this is not always to everyone's tastes, but, last year and for the first time ever, I went camping with a group of friends to this little campsite near Aylsham called 'Top Farm' and I thoroughly enjoyed it! Bearing in mind there was booze and drunken antics the owners were so lovely to us and even provided us with benches to all sit around (bonus!) and at the moment we are currently planning to go for our second trip, in which I'm sure you'll soon know all about it within another blog post.

Hope you enjoyed my top 'to do's' - please feel free to comment and let me know your favourite things to do during summer - as I'd love to know :)
Love and hugs,
Fleur xxx

PS - I will probably continue to finish my blogs with photos.. so here is one of me sitting in the sun whilst writing this blog. I look very excited here, not really sure why..
